MaryJanett Shop!

Hello lovelies!

Just a quick post to let you all know what i've been up to lately. I've been setting up my online shop - MaryJanett, where I will be selling handmade silver bracelets. These bracelets will feature Shamballa beads, Swarovski Crystal hearts, Silver hearts with both silver and crystal beads. The bracelets are very dainty ranging from 2mm beads to 4mm, so small and sweet. I think they look so delicate and pretty on the wrist and they are great to stack and bunch up! I am really excited to begin this adventure.

If you've read some of my other posts, I will always feature my silver bracelets in every outfit because I literally wear them each and everyday. These bracelets are soo versatile, you could wear them as an everyday bracelet but you could also wear them for a fancy meal or to go out clubbing. They definitely transform you from day to night time with very little help!

So basically, i've added another page to this blog, just above called 'Shop'. After you click this it will take you to my Big Cartel website. There I have featured my first handmade bracelet for you all to take a look at. I cannot wait to share the other designs with you! I will be uploading these in the next week or so. I would really love to hear your feedback as to what you think of the bracelets. I will also be able to customise the bracelet to how you want it, via letters, charms or colour. This will take a little longer, but I'm sure you'd appreciate it!

So go check out the shop and let me know what you think!

Thanks so much.

“Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.”

I bet your all fed up of me telling you how I've moved to Cardiff but it's seriously one of the biggest things in my life so far. To move out of my comfort zone, from my home that i've lived in all my life, from my cosy little bedroom packed with treasures that tell so many stories, with my mum and brother in the next room, dinner on the table and a nice bath run whenever you feel like!

So i've tried to make my teenie, tiny, little uni room as homely as possible by having lots of photos and things that remind me of home, family and friends. When I first moved in, my room was so bare and plain. It really did look a little grunge! It made me so upset to go from such a lovely home to a grotty little flat but you have to start at the bottom and work your way up... one day I will have that beautiful penthouse looking over the bay!

So this post is to show you how i've decorated my room and a few things that i've picked up for university.

This little magnetic to-do list pad is from Paperchase, it was £3.75 at the time! But it's shot up slightly to £5 since. But I still thing its worth it because of the pretty detail around the edges. There's lots of different styles too! You can get this here.

Next are some gorgeous black leather note books. I purchased two from TkMaxx. You can get great notebooks and journals there for great prices! I'm sure these Italian leather notebooks were around £5 each.

'Got Something to Say' How cute is this.

I love hearts, so this was a must.

I also bought these cute little pencils with crystals on top.

Now to my room. I was given a billboard to decorate, as your not allowed to paint or hang anything on the walls. To decorate my billboard, I decided to use left over wallpaper from my bedroom at home. I then hung up the wooden, beaded and silver hearts that I had been collecting from many little shops around Wales.

My Flat mates have covered theirs in photos and posters and it looks really cool, but I love the homely feel my billboard has.

So I had two long shelves and two short and I was able to swap there's around to create the style I wanted.

On one of the shorter shelves I have my cook books, my Pretty Little Liars books (I loveeee PLL), My Lord of the Rings book, Fifty Shades, King Lear, Jane Eyre and some book ends with photos of me and my friends.

On the other shorter shelf, I have my glass jar to burn my Yankee candles, I'm currently burning one called Vanilla Lime. I then have my two jewelry boxes and my Swarovski crystal ornament.

Magazines. I love collecting them. These are my older Glamour mags, I don't read Glamour anymore as I much prefer Elle, Cosmopolitan and Company but they still look really cool for decoration.

Here is another pile of my magazines, I love the company design, it adds so much colour to your room when they are on display. Putting my magazines on display definitely looks really cute in my opinion.

On my desk, I have my wooden filing unit that I got from TkMaxx and this was around £15, which is a great price! Next to that I have my 'Bowl of hearts' which I showed in a previous post. As you can see on my window sill, I have photos of me and friends and my boyfriend.

I hope you like my cosy little uni room. Thanks for reading and I hope your all having a fabulous week!

Pretty little things...

Recently I've been on a little mission to find anything cute or pretty in preparation for my new room at University. I really cannot wait to fly the nest and move out. What I'm most looking forward to is hunting down all my goodies for my room!

So this is a pretty little stand that I bought for my 'Winter Wonderland' Yankee Candle! It is the most gorgeous warming winter scent. I love the simple glass jar that the candle comes in, but this stand certainly gives it a sparkle of elegance.

My next pretty little thing is this wooden heart bowl or dish. Now I loveeee hearts. I don't know why, I just think they are the sweetest little things. So yes, I decided to fill the heart bowl... with hearts. My mum bought me the silver heart with 'LOVE' and my nan bought me the one with '18', they loved the idea and both wanted to be a part of my 'bowl of hearts'. I think this is perfect for university, as I'll be away from my loved ones.

Now when I seen these heart shaped wire baskets, I fell in love with them! I had never seen such pretty little baskets. But I just couldn't work out what I'd use them for, so I didn't buy them. One week later, they are in my bedroom, still empty, but none the less looking pretty!! I'm sure I'll find something to put in them when I have my whole life in one little bedroom in a university hall.

If you haven't guessed yet from looking at these pictures or from previous posts. I love silver. I just think its a sparkly and bright. This silver and glass dish is so cute! It's not very big, and I haven't found a use for it yet, but I couldn't resist it because of the beautiful detail on the lid.

Now I snapped up this glass jar for around £3. I instantly loved it because of the hearts that wrap around the lid! I needed a jar like this for my smaller Yankee candles, that I absolutely adore! They only cost around £1.20, and they last ages! The scents are gorgeous! I definitely prefer buying the smaller candles and putting them in your own decorated glass jar. Once the candle has melted, I just add the next one!

Next I bought these gorgeous little mugs with matching china spoons that slot into the handle! I fell in love with these and they were only £2.99 each! Sooo cute and sooo unique!

I love dippy eggs and soldiers! I'm sure it will be one of my main quick and easy meals to do at university! So when I found the matching egg cups, I had to snap them up at only £1.50 each!

Have you got any pretty little things that your stocking up on, ready to add your own touch to your new place? Have you got any recommendations for shops that have similar items?

Fat Face

While popping into Fat Face, I seen lots of things I want to buy. No rephrase that... I Neeeeeeed to buy. But i've been saving all of my earnings for my last holiday payment, as I'm going on holiday to Egypt with my boyfriend in July.

So while I made a mental wish list of all the things I neeeeeded in fat face, I came across a little basket of bracelets on the counter.

So I found this little bracelet! For only £3!
I loved the fact this bracelet had a heart at the centre which is made out of dragonflies and butterflies. It looks so sweet, and the multi coloured stones that surround it have lots of beautiful pinks, browns and oranges!

I loveeee it! So even though I'm meant to be saving ALL my money for my final payment, I decided £3 would not make much of a difference! You can buy this bracelet here - http://www.fatface.com/jewellery/heart-bracelet/invt/35661/?colour=Natural
