I have a crush - Sugar crush.

I think the title of this post is enough, don't you?

I am seriously in love with this product. Soap and Glory have an amazing range of products at the moment, targeting all ages and skin types. But Sugar Crush has to be my favourite. I love to just open the lid and smell the product let alone use it. How sad it that... yes a serious product crush.

Now the scent, how do I describe it? It's not the usual S&G scent. It says 'sweet lime' which I think sums it up quite well but there's a sweetness to it too! Seriously, its smells good enough to eat.

Even if you don't need a new body scrub or don't want to try it... please just go open a tub and smell! You'll thank me I'm sure.

You can purchase this from Boots here.

The scrub contains 'smashed brown sugar', 'almond oil' and 'macadmamia grains' all in one tub, fighting together against dry and flakey skin! My hero.

I use this around 2-3 times a week to get rid of any flakey dry skin. The scrub literally makes my skin feel brand new, clean and fresh. I wouldn't use this over 3 times, puerly because I don't think my skin needs to be 'scrubbed' that many times a week. I think it could end up doing damage rather than nourishing my skin.

Soap and Glory are also adding some more products to the 'Sugar Crush' range -

My bank account just shed a tear. hehe.
Well we all have to spoil ourselves right? and we all have to take care of our skin right?

Love your tootsies.

So up for review today are some Soap & Glory products.

+ Hand Food - Hydrating Hand Cream
+ Heel Genius - Foot Mask
+ Foot Buffer

Yes, these three products are for some pampering ladies. Your poor little feet neeeeed to be looked after. I've only started doing it since I moved to uni... Because I have too much time on my hands.. but however, My feet and hands are so thankful!

So i've just got home from work, 7 hours on my feet. Aaaaa heel genius, I praise you. I slap some of this on, give myself a nice foot massage to absorb the product, then put some slipper socks on. By putting the socks on, it allows the product to really get to work, absorbing into your tired, aching feet. In the morning, wow, smooth is an understatement. However, this product really does just smell of foot cream, nothing special and no signature S&G fragrance. Slightly disappointing.

+++

The Hand Cream has the beautiful S&G signature fragrance. Delish! It contains shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow?! What? But seriously, it makes your hands feel hydrates and smooth. I love using this mostly in winter and autumn when my skin tends to get quite dry.

+++

The foot buffer really isn't just like all the other foot buffers. It not only looks sleek but it also has 3 different foot files. I really like this tool, as the head of the file is tilted, so you can get right under your foot without getting into any awkward position.

At the bottom of the foot buffer, there is a smaller file to get to smaller places, paying more attention to specific areas. I love using this after having a bath, as my skin is softer and it can be filed down easier. I also find that it is much less painful. Win Win. Smooth feet. After filing down some hard skin, I'd massage some of the heel genius into my feet and yes you guessed it, some slipper socks. Love.

Hope you enjoyed this review guys and I do hope that you've treated your little tootsies to some pampering!!

Uni Wardrobe

Hello lovelies,
So this is another outfit i've been wearing to uni! Again the three c's apply, Cute, Comfy and Casual.
Here i'm wearing a Topshop highwaisted skater skirt with some plain black tights and my beautiful Topshop boots! I paired them with a Dorothy Perkins jumper that I had in the sale years ago, but it is one of my key items in my wardrobe, espeically as we head into the cold and bitter winter months.

Winter has to be my favourite season, all the boots, mittens, scarfs and coats, hot chocolate and galaxy while watching ps.I love you, cuddled up with your partner. Yes that does sounds pretty perfect!

So my satchel is actually from a charity shop, that my mother found. I really couldn't believe it when she rang up and told me she had bought this bag for £7. Yes seriously. It's a hidesign real leather satchel and the interior is to die for! Plus, this bag is perfect for uni, with lots of little compartments.
You can find these beautiful hidesign satchels and breifcases on ebay.

I hope your enjoying these Uni Wardrobe posts. Let me know what you think!

Everybody needs a pamper...

A few nights back, I really fancied having a pamper night. So I went out and bought a Sauna mark and an eyelash tint kit. I bought these products mainly because I really want a nice face mask, so I'm hoping you guys will recommend some for me! I also bought the eyelash tint kit because my eyelashes are a light brown and blonde towards the end of my lashes.

So this is the Garnier Self Heating Sauna Mask, I really liked this product. It was around £1 for 2 sachets!

When I rubbed the mask into my face it immediately warmed up.. but that was about it. My face felt smooth after and I didn't get any breakouts, which is what usually happens after I use face masks! Over all I really liked this product but I'd love to get some more to try out!

Here is the Eylure Tinting kit, I bought this from boots for £7.50.

The set came with the tube of eyelash dye, the activating solution, a mixer, a plastic dish, mascara wand and some pads to place under your eyes.

I began by mixing a pea size amount of the eyelash dye into the plastic dish, then adding 5 drops of the solution and mixing well until creamy. I then wet the white pads and placed them underneath my eyes. I then applied the creamy mixture to my top and bottom eyelashes with the wand, making sure each lash was covered. I then closed my eyes for 10 minutes and allowed the dye to set.

After 10 minutes, I used a wet cotton wool pad to wipe away the excess mixture and here are the results!

Before

After

As you can see by the pictures, My lashes look darker, more defined, longer and fuller! I loved the result. You can actually see my bottom lashes and the tips of my longer upper lashes.

Have you got any face masks you could recommend? Have you ever tinted your eyelashes? How did you find it?

My first OOTD...

Here's my first 'Outfit Of The Day'. I threw this together to go for a meal with my mum and a spot of shopping, where I picked up some goodies for my room ready for university, which I'll be doing a post on very soon!

+ Jumper - Zara Sale £9.99
+ Jeans - Zara Skinny Jeans £39.99
+Boots - Topshop Mighty £45
+Satchel - Accessorize Sales £15
+Jewellery - Pandora silver and zirconia ring
- Links of london xs sweetie bracelet
- Swarovski crystal tennis bracelet

Here are my Topshop Mighty boots. These are the new models of the Topshop Allegra boots which I unfortunately missed out on! These boots are soo comfortable. I'm normally a lover of knee high boots and long necklaces but recently I've been loving ankle boots and short chocker necklaces!

I love this satchel, it is sooo pretty with all the detail! I bought this in the sale about a year ago at accessorize. Luckily it goes perfect with my new boots!

Now I didn't wear this in the post, but it would have looked great! I've been looking for the perfect short necklace and I came across this in the sale at 'Folli Follie' in Cardiff. What a bargain, £26 to £15! I love it, and it goes perfect with my everyday Links and Swarovski bracelets. It's basically a bunch of silver leaves in three tiers, hanging from a thick chain.

Have you found any pretty short necklaces? Do you prefer the Mighty boots or Allegra?

Bronze beauty

So heres the 'Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24Hr eyeshadow' in 'and on Bronze' , which I am sure that you've all heard lots about! I bought this for £4.99 from Boots a few weeks back. Now I love this eyeshadow range, But I would love to see more colours available, as there were only six to choose from. The 'Eternal Gold' would be another one I'd advise to take a look at!

*3 for 2 on Maybelline products in Boots at the moment*

I was looking for a quick and easy eye product so suit my skin tone and hair colour. I have long light brown hair with tanned skin. I love the bronze goddess look. Not that I'm a goddess, But still! I really don't get on with eyeshadows, I find it makes me look over done and too much! But this gives a nice natural bronze glow!

So here you can see that the bronze eyeshadow also has a nice shimmer to it, which also highlights and illuminates! The eyeshadow is really creamy and easy to apply. I've used this to cover my whole lid for just a quick and easy look, but I've also used it as a cream base to apply powder eyeshadow on top, creating a bronze smoky eye. Either look usually lasts all day, however with this gorgeous weather, I've found that the cream eyeshadow alone slowly comes off throughout the day.

I really love this product and its definitely my new 'Go to' eye product.
Have you tried any of the Colour Tattoo eyeshadows? What did you think?

New Found Love!

Last month, I decided to take a few photos of some products from my monthly magazines, Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Marie Claire, to create a picture wish list. The Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Tinted Moisturising Day Cream was one of them!

I was looking for a tinted moisturiser ready for my holiday to Egypt. I wanted a bronze colour, not much coverage and a nice summer glow. So I set out on my hunt to find a good tinted moisturiser but at a reasonable price.

I purchased the Nivea Tinted Moistuirser from Boots at only £3.66! Which I believe is ridiculously cheap! However, I bought it with little expectations mainly due to the price. But did Nivea surprise me!

*Theres also a 2 for £4 offer at boots on all Nivea Visage Facial Skin Care at the moment*

'Nivea Visage Tinted Moisturising Day Cream is a light daily moisturising formula that both hydrates intensively and enhances your natural skin tone'

  • Enriched with Hydramine and Vitamin E it provides the skin with essential caring elements and intensive moisture – 24 hours long.
  • A special combination of light reflecting and colour pigments and colour pigments blend with your natural skin tone to brighten your complexion and to blur skin imperfections.
  • The special Nivea Visage UVA / UVB protection in combination with Vitamin E helps protect the skin from environmental influences that result in premature skin ageing.

Now I agree with mostly everything that Nivea states that the product does. It does enhance my natural skin tone, while highlighting certain areas of my face with the light reflecting pigments. It leaves my skin hydrated and refreshed, and is a light creamy formula that ultimately feels like I have little if anything applied to my face.

The only downfall to this product, is the fact that it only comes in one shade. Luckily it suits my skin tone. However, if you are quite pale, I believe it could leave you looking cakey and orange. The product is easily blend-able with it's light creamy formula, so I do believe if you blend well with the right tools you could create the perfect coverage for any skin tone.

Personally, this is my 'New Found Love'. I've replaced my foundation and I'm currently using this all over my face, then adding a touch of contour and highlight from the sleek contour palette. I then use a blush, curl my lashes, fill in my eyebrows and apply my favourite mascara L'oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara and I'm good to go!

Have you tried this product? Have you got any recommendations for any other fabulous tinted moisturisers?

Top 5 Lip Care

Recently I've seen a lot of bloggers doing their 'Top 5 lipsticks' and  'Top 5 Nail polishes', So i've decided to do my Top 5 lil care. I've also included two other balms that contain a glitter and sparkle, which I will do separately.  So here we go...

So here are my top 5 Lip care, and my two favorite lip shimmers.
From top left to right
- Chap Stick Lip Care Wild Cherry
- Nivea Pearly Shine
-Natural Collection Vanilla Lip Salve
-Burt's Bees Caramel Lip Shimmer

Bottom left to right
- Vaseline Rosy Lips
- Carmex Classic Lip Balm
-Vaseline Cocoa Butter

So this is the Vaseline Rosy Lips, 'The Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips gently tints lips with rose to enhance their natural glow while providing a surge of moisture and a touch of sweet almond and rose oils'. The tin contains Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, commonly known as Rose Oil & Prunus
Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, commonly known as Almond Oil that gives your lips a touch of moisture.

I love this, It gives my lips a gorgeous pink tint, brighting up my face and moisturising any dry lips. I paid £2.25 at Boots for this, which I believe is a great price as you get 20g. I've had this for around 6 months now, I use it at least once a day, and I've hardly used any of the product! Because it is made out of petroleum jelly, the product is very spreadable so a little dab goes along way.

Here is a swatch of the product on my hand, as you can see it is very pigmented for a lip balm, with a pinky/coral colour. I find this product quite messy, due to the fact you have to apply it with your finger. However after researching prices, I came across a stick version of the rosy lips, which looks a lot easier to apply. The product is also quite thin and lasts for a decent amount of time, however I do find  myself topping it up quite frequently. The product also smells like roses! How sweet! If I need a lot of moisture and a bit of colour, this is my go to.
You can get this product Here!

This is the Cocoa Butter Vaseline Petroleum JellyThe Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa range is enriched with caring cocoa butter and will give your lips the nourishment they need to feel and look soft and smooth. The tin contains a hint of cocoa butter that is well known for its skin conditioning benefits.

This lip balm is yummy. On some occasions, I wanted the same effect as the Rosy Lips, but I didn't want the added colour. So I needed to buy the original Vaseline, But while shopping, I seen this beauty. I opened the tin and a waft of Cocoa flew out, yum. In the basket it went! I paid £1.99 at Boots for this, which I believe is a great price. It's cheaper that the Rosy Lips, which must be because of the extra tint to the lips. But for 20g of scrummy smelling lip balm for £1.99, I was very pleased. I use this when I want some visible moisture, I've only recently purchased this but again I've hardly used any
product. Vaseline tins really go a long way!

Heres a swatch of the Cocoa Butter Vaseline lip balm. As you can see, there is no colour, but a clear, moisturising balm. I use this when I want some visible moisture, as after use my lips tend to look quite wet and healthy. I've only recently purchased this but again I've hardly used any
product. Vaseline tins really go a long way! However, it is soo annoying when your hair gets stuck to the vaseline on your lips.
You can purchase this product here!

This is the Carmex classic moisturising lip balm, This balm kills germs, Softens, lubricates and protects, heals, soothes and prevents dry cracked lips. It contains Cocoa butter, Aloe butter, Vitamin E and Shea butter.

This Lip balm is great when my lips really need some nourishing care, when they feel dry, cracked and unhealthy, I slap this on, and boy.. what a difference! Now this product is not as sticky and messy as the vaseline tins, as this is a much thicker substance in the pot, however on the lips it feels lights and moisturising. Again, you have to apply the product with your finger, which is messy, but it's not as bad as the vaseline as most of the product comes off onto the lips. After applying this, I immediately feel a slight tingling sensation and a nice fresh feeling on my lips, which must be Menthol, that kills germs. I also find this balm very long lasting, which is great! I hardly have to reapply this product.

As you can see from the swatch, it is not as glossy as the Vaseline Cocoa butter. My hair never gets stuck to my lips with this product, where as with the vaseline, I am guaranteed to get my hair stuck with every application. I bought this product in Boots for £2.69, and this contains 7g of product, which is a lot less than the Vaseline, however I believe a lot is wasted with the vaseline due to it being so wet, where as this is a pure balm that is a lot more dry yet still moisturising. You can also pick this up in a cherry scent. When I first opened this, I thought I could smell vanilla, but the smell quickly changed, I'm unsure to what it smells like, but it smells slightly like vic.
You can get this here!

Next is the Wild Cherry Chap Stick Lip Care. Now I've had this for ages, but it's still going strong. This product softens and protects for smooth, silky lips. It also helps heal and prevent dry chapped lips with a sweet cherry flavour and scent. It also contains sun protection, which is always a plus!

This lip balm is so delicious! I really love this product mainly because of it's gorgeous cherry scent and it's easy application.  This balm feels quite thick on the lips, which often attracts my long hair, which is such a pain!! However, the thick balm feels nice and moisturising on my lips, and the fact that my kisses are cherry scented is a big big plus! This balm is long lasting contains a slight gloss, it's not as glossy as the vaseline, however it does have the same texture. I haven't done a swatch for this product as you really couldn't see it. You can get this chap stick in strawberry, spearmint and classic. While researching this, I also noticed that Chap Stick product a true shimmer, which looks gorgeous! I will definitely be purchasing this!
You can get this product here!

Now I've had this product for a long time. It's the Natural Collection Vanilla Lip Salve. Now I know Boots do a Natural collection section, however this product is not available. Maybe it doesn't get made anymore. For some reason, I remember having it in a set? Even so, I love this balm because I love love love vanilla! This salve helps sooth and protect lips while giving off a gorgeous vanilla scent.

After researching, this product is around £1. Which is very cheap for a lip balm, which is a great plus. Now it is very easy to apply, just like the chap stick. The consistency is very thin, although it does feel very moisturising and glossy like the Chap Stick. However, this product needs reapplying a LOT! It's quite a nuisance. But my love for this product comes from the simple natural packaging and the gorgeous scent. I absolutely love the smell of Vanilla. So this product has to be in my top 5 Lip Balms because it smells divine, and even if I have to top it up to maintain the moisture, I don't mind!!
So I can't find this product online, but this is the link to the natural collection.

So these are my top 5 Lip Balms.
While looking through my collection, I wanted to include another two balms, but they are more of a
shimmer balm. So I thought I'd post these at the end separately!

This is the Nivea Lip Care Pearl Shine. This balm enhances the natural beauty of your lips with a kiss of rose and a pearly shimmer. Its formula, with Pearl and Silk Extracts, keeps lips velvety soft and silky  smooth. It also contains SPF 10 to help protect against UVA and UVB rays.

Now this product is great if you want a bit more than a balm, it's also great if you want a little bit more than that colour from the vaseline rosy lips. This gives you moisture, pearly pink colour and sparkle. This product is easy to apply, and the packaging is really sweet, with the light pink and the white sparkles. It is quite thin on the lips with the same texture as the chap stick, it's moisturising but not too thick. This balm also has a pretty floral scent, this is the perfect balm for you girly girls with the pink, glitter and floral.

Heres a swatch of the Nivea pearly shine, doesn't it look gorgeous! I bought this from boots for £2.29!? Great price! This product is quite long lasting, I feel that my lips still feel moisturised but I may need to top up the colour and shine.
You can get this product here!

This is my final product, this is the Burt's Bees Caramel Lip Shimmer. I love it! This shimmer nourishes and moistuirses your lips with natural ingredients like vitamin E and coconut and sunflower oils, it also includes a kiss of colour with pearlised shine that conditions, smoothes and highlights.

Now I bought this from a little shop not far from me called 'Vintage', which is an absolutely gorgeous a shop recommended to me by a subtle difference. I bought this for around £5, but you can buy it in Boots for £5.99! Now this product has a gorgeous caramel/coral colour with sprinkles of glitter. It is very moisturising and wet at first, with a very thin application, but the moisture sinks into your lips leaving them moisturised, colorful and sparkly. This product does not attract my hair at all, which I love! This product is the most expensive, but It definitely is my favorite, so you get what you pay for. The shimmer also has a sweet, minty fresh smell, which I love! But I guess it would be even better if it actually smelt of caramel!!
You can get this product here!

Have you tried any of these Lip products? Which is your favorite? Do you have any recommendations?
